The Blue Grass Trust not only helps Central Kentuckians preserve the places that matter to them, we also have the honor of directly stewarding four unique historic properties ourselves, including Latrobe's Pope Villa, Endicott Cottage, the Dr. Thomas Hunt Morgan House, and our headquarters, Hopemont.
Hopemont
Hopemont spurred the creation of the Blue Grass Trust when the home, built in 1814, was threatened with demolition. It now serves as the headquarters of the Blue Grass Trust.
Latrobe’s Pope Villa
The nation's first professional architect, Benjamin Latrobe, designed this visionary home for Senator John and Eliza Pope in 1810-1811.
Dr. Thomas Hunt Morgan House
The 1860s home of Kentucky's first Nobel Prize recipient, the Dr. Thomas Hunt Morgan House houses the Lexington History Museum.
