The BGT's                Annual Fund Drive

By supporting the Annual Fund, you enable the Blue Grass Trust for Historic Preservation to continue its vital work in the Bluegrass region. For sixty-two years, the Blue Grass Trust has played a major role in historic preservation, advocacy, and education.  Founded in 1955 to save Hopemont, the historic Hunt-Morgan House, the Blue Grass Trust is a private non-profit that receives no government funding.

Because of your generous support, the Blue Grass Trust is able to maintain and operate three historic properties in Lexington: Hopemont, the historic Hunt-Morgan House, the Dr. Thomas Hunt Morgan House, and Latrobe’s Pope Villa. We continue to increase community engagement with our free BGT deTours program. The tours, which feature notable buildings throughout the region, are offered the first Wednesday of every month and are always free and open to the public. Enhancements to our public programming include the Pope Villa Seminar Series, in partnership with the University of Kentucky, and additional free historic walking tour guides. We currently are working on the next issue of our magazine, Preservation Matters, which will be hitting mailboxes in early 2018. The Blue Grass Trust also serves and advocates on a daily basis on behalf of citizens and historic properties throughout the Bluegrass.

We are so grateful for you and your donation to our 2017-18 Annual Fund. As a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization (Federal ID #61-0518029), your gift may be tax deductible to the extent permitted by law. A tax receipt/letter will be sent to you for your records and consultation with your tax expert.

Because of your support of the Blue Grass Trust's 2017-18 Annual Fund, our staff and membership-based organization will continue our mission to be a leader in historic preservation, advocacy work, and community engagement throughout the Bluegrass region.
