Experience Lexington through the lens of mid-century modern design on this self-guided bike route featuring the work of architect Richard B. Isenhour. The route follows a safe, low-traffic loop through residential neighborhoods, where modernist homes are integrated into their landscapes. Along the way, riders are encouraged to observe hallmark mid-century modern elements such as clean lines, asymmetrical forms, expansive windows, and the connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. The route places these homes within the broader context of postwar design and Lexington’s architectural evolution.
