Carol Martin

Carol Martin is a native of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee who moved with her Lexingtonian husband, Rodney, and their son, Taylor, to Lexington 30 years ago. She worked in the criminal justice/law enforcement arena for 30 years. Before retiring in 2021, her last 21 years she was employed by the United States Probation Office as a U.S. Probation Officer. In conjunction with supervising offenders released to the Eastern District of Kentucky, she served as the districts Drug Treatment Specialist and also traveled to monitor/audit U.S. Probation Offices throughout the United States. In 2014, Carol and Rodney purchased and renovated a 200 year old home near Gratz Park. They have since relocated to another historical home on West Third Street. Since moving downtown, Carol become active in the efforts of the Blue Grass Trust by volunteering for the BGT Antique and Garden Show, the AGS Planning Committee, and the Facilities Committee. In 2020 , she became a board member of the Blue Grass Trust. In addition to her interest in historical properties, renovations, architecture, and antiques, Carol enjoys travel, golf, entertaining, and spending time with family and friends, particularly her new granddaughter Collier.
