Emily Bergeron
Emily Bergeron is an Associate Professor in the Department of Historic Preservation at the University of Kentucky. She is the Department’s Director of Graduate Studies and an affiliate of the University’s Center for Equality and Social Justice. Her research focuses on the connections between environmental justice, cultural resource protection, sustainable development, resiliency planning, and affordable housing. Outside of the University, Bergeron is a Vice-Chair of the American Bar Association’s Environmental Justice Committee, an editorial board member of Human Rights, and a Co-Editor of Preservation Education & Research, the journal of the National Council for Preservation Education. She holds a Ph.D. in City and Regional Planning from Cornell University, a JD, and a Master’s in Architectural Studies from the University of Florida.
