The Blue Grass Trust's deTours program offers the opportunity to tour historic buildings, places, and sites not ordinarily accessible. BGT deTours are free and open to the public and are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 5:30 pm.

Join the BGT deTours, Wednesday, December 6 @ 5:30 pm at Maxwell Street Presbyterian Church, 180 E. Maxwell Street.

Maxwell Street Presbyterian Church began in 1891 to serve as a Presbyterian mission to the relatively new University of Kentucky on the south side of town. By 1915, the congregation was prospering and had outgrown its original church building at 120 W. Maxwell Street (which currently houses Joe Bologna's, where the AfterHour will be held following the deTour!). The congregation moved to the current, Neoclassical Revival-style sanctuary upon its completion in 1916.

Save the date! Saturday, July 21, 2018

The Blue Grass Trust launched Bourbon & Brews on Broadway (BBoB for short) on July 22, 2017, featuring art by Kiptoo Tarus, marvelous music from Joslyn and The Sweet Compression, great silent and live auction items, local brews from West Sixth, Country Boy, Mirror Twin, and Ethereal Brewing, great food by Catering by Donna, and of course Kentucky Bourbon Signature Drinks, thanks to Maker's Mark. This party of historic proportions was such a success, thanks in good measure to our 2017 presenting sponsors, Jon Carloftis Fine Gardens and Maker's Mark,  it will now be an annual event for the BGT.  The event is held on the  BGT's campus which includes the adjoining Hopemont/Hunt-Morgan House and the Dr. Thomas Hunt Morgan House. We are happy to announce Jon Carloftis Fine Gardens has already re-upped as a presenting sponsor for next year's BBoB, to be held on July 21, 2018.
