Join Isabel Ladd, principal designer at Isabel Ladd Interiors, as she gives you secrets to mixing and matching furnishings, prints and patterns, aesthetics, and price points to curate beautiful and intriguing spaces. It’s official: High/Low is having a moment and the ride can be a lot of fun.

Isabel Ladd, an interior designer in Lexington KY loves the thrill of the mix: High and Low, Old and New, Traditional and Modern. A mother of two rambunctious young boys, she is on a personal quest to show fellow moms that it is possible to have a beautifully designed home amidst crazy kids. Isabel’s work ranges from residential interior design of a few rooms,to full-blown, year-long construction overhauls. Commercial projects include various corporate offices, doctor and therapist’s offices, and notably, Cornett Ad Agency, and Buffalo Trace. Isabel also frequents as a set designer for film and commercials.

Currently Kim has been with Thoroughbred Antique Gallery for 4 ½ years where she stages and sells her French inventory.  She loves helping clients find the right pieces for their homes or collections and is passionate about educating young people on the appreciation of fine antiques. She and her husband Tim split their time between Pikeville and Lexington with their beloved Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Murphy.

Take a virtual buying trip and learn how to shop like a pro in France.  Identifying French period styles and furniture terms will also be discussed along with tips for incorporating antiques into your home.

Kim Clay Hites holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interior Design, a Master’s Degree in Education, a KY Rank I in Educational Supervision, and is an Allied member of the American Society of Interior Designers.  She is also certified by the Interior Arrangement & Design Association for space planning and real estate staging. 

Kim has been buying and selling antiques for the past 30 years but her love affair with France led her to expand and focus her business into bringing fresh French antiques to the Lexington market.

For the last 7 years Kim has been traveling all over France on buying trips and importing her finds back to the US.  She has even organized and taken small groups of women who have always dreamed of shopping in France.
